ENTER Art Fair: Copenhagen

We are delighted to participate in ENTER Art Fair Copenhagen from 27 to 30 August 2026, presenting new works by Tina Berning, Anna Deller-Yee and Julio Rondo.

Our presentation brings together three artistic positions from different generations. What connects them is less a shared formal approach than a common attitude: all three develop distinctive visual languages rooted in personal experience and moving between material, perception and memory.

TINA BERNING
Female portraiture is central to Tina Berning’s work. For the artist, however, it is less about depicting a specific person than about moods, memories and inner states. Her figures deliberately remain open, at once familiar and enigmatic, leaving space for the viewer’s own thoughts and associations. Beneath their often reduced form lies a subtle psychological tension that gives her works their particular intensity.
Many of her drawings are created on found or previously used papers that carry their own history. Fragments of text, stamps, discolorations and traces of use are not concealed but deliberately become part of the image. Berning responds to what is already there, allowing past and present to enter into a dialogue on the paper.
Her working process is direct and intuitive: an initial line sets the beginning and determines how the drawing develops. Corrections are rarely possible. It is precisely this trust in the moment that gives her works their particular lightness, vulnerability and strength.

ANNA DELLER-YEE
Anna Deller-Yee brings together materiality and emotion in complex painterly structures. She translates personal memories and emotions into dense yet fragile surfaces using thickly applied acrylic paint, pigments, colored pencils and, in some works, individually sewn glass beads. In doing so, she draws on techniques and details from textiles and fashion, making them part of her own painterly language. Alongside her artistic practice, Deller-Yee has developed visual concepts for houses such as Marni, Schiaparelli, Mugler and Nike.
In Copenhagen, we will present a new body of work that Anna Deller-Yee will continue to develop into next year. It extends her ongoing exploration of the tension between strength and fragility. Dreams are also becoming an increasingly present source. They enter the works in subtle ways, bringing with them their own emotional logic and a delicate inner rhythm.
The colors move through light before descending into black, blue and deep green. In some works, this descent remains close to the surface; in others, it leads deeper, becoming quieter and more nocturnal. These deeper, more introspective states will also be part of the presentation in Copenhagen.
We are also delighted that Anna Deller-Yee is part of the ENTER Art Fair Talks Program and has been selected for NEUDEUTSCH, a presentation of contemporary artistic positions from Germany curated by Julian Daynov together with the German Embassy in Copenhagen, which will also be presented at the fair.

JULIO RONDO
Since the 1980s, Julio Rondo has developed a distinctive form of abstract painting in which personal memories, visual impressions and art historical references intertwine. His works do not tell specific stories. Instead, they preserve traces of places, encounters and experiences, translating them into color, form and rhythm.
Rondo paints exclusively on the reverse side of glass. This particular technique reverses the conventional painting process: the first brushstroke remains visible at the surface, while every subsequent layer of paint is applied behind it. Corrections are hardly possible. Each step requires a clear decision and a precise understanding of how the finished image will ultimately appear.
Transparent and opaque fields of color overlap and merge into one another, giving the works their distinctive luminosity and depth. In the works presented here, Rondo also consistently incorporates the inside of the back panel into the painting. This creates an additional space between the glass and the image ground, in which the color seems almost to float.
His compositions may begin with architecture, urban structures or personal memories. Rondo reduces these into geometric forms and fields of color without entirely dissolving their emotional origins. In this way, his paintings remain open, suspended between memory and the present, precision and intuition, personal experience and the viewer’s own imagination.
All works by Tina Berning, Anna Deller-Yee and Julio Rondo presented in Copenhagen have been created especially for ENTER Art Fair and will be shown publicly for the first time.
