Following the successful opening of his first solo exhibition in Germany, “The Lost Magpie and Other Affairs” at JAEGER ART, Paolo Ventura returns to Berlin with a new project created especially for the exhibition “Rooms / Stages” at the Helmut Newton Foundation.
The internationally acclaimed Italian artist, whose work moves seamlessly between photography, painting, collage, drawing and scenography, has developed two new series for the exhibition, both conceived specifically for Berlin.
Known for constructing entire visual worlds by painting his own backdrops and building theatrical environments, Ventura creates poetic narratives suspended between reality and fiction. In his works, Berlin becomes more than a setting; it becomes a protagonist. Architecture, memory and imagination intertwine to form visual stories that unfold like cinematic sequences.
